Part Time Job Survey Analysis

 Part Time Job Analysis

My reserch topic: Part time job
Target: Japanese younger people (18-22 age)
Number of respondents: 21 (thank you.. )

Summary

Students answered 9 questions about part time job.

Results

Graph#1 shows the rate of students who do part time job. In fact, 95.2% responded "yes", 4.8% responded "no". It means 20 students do part time job and only 1 student does not do part time job. The results are not surprising.

#1 Do you do part time job?

Graph#2 shows the place students work. 40% of students work at restaurant and 35% of students work at cram school. I expected many students work at restaurant, cram school, and convenience store. However, there are no students who work at convenience store. I thought more than 1-2 students work there.

#2Where do you work?

Graph#3 shows the amounts of salary for each student. Seeing the graph, all students earn more than 1000 yen per hour. Some students earn 1300-1400yen per hour..I want to ask the students about the work.

#3How much is your salary?

Graph#4 shows the workplace satisfaction. more than half of people feel fun to work. However, some people do not feel fun to work. The number of students who feel fun to work is more than I expected.

#4Do you feel fun to work in your workplace?

Graph#5 shows the reasons why students feel fun or not fun to work. Seeing the reasons of students who feel fun, there are good work environment and co-workers. Compared to this, seeing the students who do not feel fun, they said the co-worker is not good and the work is so busy and hard. I felt the importance of working environment.

#5Why do you feel so?

Graph#6 shows the amounts of working days in a week. 3 times in a week is the most. I surprised that 70% of students work more than 3 times in a week. I thought 2 times in a week was the most. many students work hard to earn money!

#6How many days on average do you work in a week?

Graph#7 shows the working time in each month. Actually, I asked the best month students work the most. However, because the question sentence was not easy to understand. So I could not get the correct answers. Seeing the graph, in February and March, many students work more than 60 hours per month. I thought because the term is in spring vacation so many students go part time jobs instead of going  school.

#7When and how many times did you go to work and were you paid the most?

Graph#8 shows the recent days of working. Although it depends on the day each student answered, I can predict each students worked within the past week. I felt many students go part time job frequentry.

#8When is the last time you work?

Graph#9 shows the time the work is started. I did not surprised that most of all students start to work at 17:00. Because students go part time jobs after school on week days, many students start to work from evening.

#9Generally, what time does your work start?

Conclusion

This survey of results gave me empathy. Actually, I have 2 part time jobs and work hard in the workplace. I could feel students who work hard are not only me but also other students. I want to ask more details about each job!
